Masking Images

Sometimes the images you want to add to your site are too big or may want to crop the image and only display a certain element of it. This is when applying masks to an image really helps with presenting images.

In the example below I have dragged an image of my daughter from iPhoto onto the web canvas. 

With the image selected I then clicked the Mask button in the tool bar.

Next I resized the mask area as shown below.

When I then deselected the area (by clicked elsewhere on the page), the mask was in place.

I then clicked the image and resized it. The results are shown below:
